To start, the Serial Podcast is a less personal one. I have very little attachment to it like I did with Ear Biscuits and the SuperMegaCast. However, I do believe that this podcast is the best of the three. The content covered in Serial is all about crimes, most often, ones that have been left relatively unsolved. It is hosted by a woman named Sarah Koenig, who does a fantastic job of investigation. She gets knee-deep into each story, interviewing different people and getting different evidence from officers. On top of this, she also has a very soothing voice, which really helps when discussing topics as she does.

Serial is a very popular podcast. First debuting in 2014, it continues to release to this day. It is currently owned by the New York Times and has even won a Peabody Award. The material covered in this show can be very grim, often depressing or scary. However, it is still wildly interesting and can be a great distraction. The tenth grade advanced English teachers showed this podcast to their students back in the 2018-2019 school year, and it was successful. Many students, including myself, thoroughly enjoyed listening to it over the course of a couple of weeks.

All in all, I believe this podcast is easily the best one I’ve reviewed so far. It is very interesting, full of great content, unique, and well thought out. Unlike the other podcasts I have reviewed, this one has one central topic it covers, but it never gets boring. Due to the open-ended nature of the subject matter, Serial can go over many different cases pertaining to different aspects of life. In short, I would definitely recommend giving it a listen.
