All This Time is a novel written by Mikki Daughtry and Rachael Lippincott. The story is told from Kyle Lafferty’s point of view. On the night of his graduation, Kyle and his girlfriend Kimberly get into a major car accident. Kimberly doesn’t survive, and Kyle is sent into a deep depression. He loses his drive, his will, and his passion.

After Kimberly is buried, Kyle doesn’t visit her grave for some time. When he finally builds up the courage to visit, he meets a girl named Marley, who is an incredibly kind writer. Marley is dealing with the loss of a very close family member and blames herself for their death. Marley helps Kyle through his grief, Kyle mends his relationship with his best friend Sam, and the two slowly begin to fall in love. But as soon as things for Kyle begin to get back on track, he is thrown through another traumatic experience.

This was a decent book. A few parts were boring or lacked, but the plot twists towards the end were incredible. The author did a great job at describing the scenery, and it was easy to get pulled into the room with the characters. At points, the plot felt cheesy and almost too perfect, but after finishing the novel I reevaluated. Everything clicks into place once it is finished. I don’t think that the book spent enough time on the recovery one goes through after an accident like Kyle and Kimberly’s. This is a romance, but the recovery- both emotional and physical- felt rushed. The book would skip ahead about a month or so and the injury would be forgotten for a chapter or two, however, the reader was left still healing. But, it is still a meaningful story. If you’re a fan of romance novels, All This Time might be a great fit for you.

I would recommend this book to those that love romance stories. If your favorite genre is romance, definitely give this a try. All This Time is not a book for people who want adventure or mystery.
