Mad Hatters Bakery: Baked Churros
Churros are a popular dessert treat. With their crisp, sugary outside and soft, flavor-filled inside, anyone can enjoy them! A traditional churro is a Spanish pastry that resembles a doughnut (Who doesn’t like doughnuts?!). It is handmade, unsweetened dough that is fried and sprinkled with sugar. Today we will be making our own churros in the oven. They also taste delicious with dipping sauces! I have included a few simple sauce recipes that can be quickly made to make the “churro experience” a 10/10. I have attempted churros before and they didn’t look too pretty, but they tasted amazing. This time, I decided to make “mini” churros to see if they looked any better. Baking certainly takes a lot of practice, but that is what makes it so rewarding! If I were to rate this churro recipe, honestly I would give it a 5/5 star rating. This is the best-tasting one I’ve found so far! To make this recipe gluten-free, replace the all-purpose flour with almond flour.
