Miller’s Minute: Cold Ones Podcast
A show about drinking adult beverages and having fun

(Disclaimer: Adult language and content)
The Cold Ones Podcast has one central theme: adult beverages. The co-hosts of the show, MaxMoeFoe and Anything4Views, drink different beverages as the show progresses. The podcast almost always stars a guest, with some past guests being Ian Hecox of Smosh, Matt Watson and Ryan Magee of Supermega, and Belle Delphine. The guests drink along with the hosts, and they are encouraged to keep up.
The show is almost entirely a comedy show, rarely slipping into serious topics. There have been many moments in which one of the hosts tries to transition to a more serious topic, but the opposing host makes that nearly impossible. The duo tends to make their guests uncomfortable, whether that be intentional or not. They seem to thrive on an overall discomfort, as this leads to some of their funniest moments. It is even better when the guest responds positively to this discomfort, and manages to add to the chaos in a positive way. This podcast has zero deeper meaning and is simply meant to be fun.
Along with the podcast, which is on the YouTube channel “Cold Ones,” the duo makes other videos, all of which are technically labeled as Cold Ones as well. Despite their non-podcasting videos having very different themes, they still have the same overall feeling as the podcast. Having only 23 “talk show” episodes thus far, this is easily the newest podcast I have reviewed. However, it is easy to tell that this show picked up very quickly and already knows exactly what it is. This is likely due to the experience of co-hosts Max and Chad. They both have a lot of experience with YouTube as well as a fanbase, so they have been able to get things rolling at a fast pace.
I am rather biased towards this show, as I already loved Max and Chad prior to seeing it. However, to make things fair, I will be rating this podcast from an entirely critical point of view. While it is very fun and extremely funny to watch, there is a lot wrong with it as well. The podcast is mainly filler, without any real substance. This can leave a viewer feeling disappointed or cheated. Because of this, I will have to rate the Cold Ones podcast a 7/10.
