Different grades have new views on the way things will go once they leave the school. Freshmen can have an excited view of being an upcoming senior while the seniors can think completely differently. Freshmen tend to feel confused at the thought of their upcoming senior year, a wave of worry for what’s to come.
“I am looking forward to going to school for not as many hours as I do right now. That’s only if I complete the credits I need to” Freshmen Amaya Fowlkes said.
Hours are a big thing for freshmen right now, they go to school for full hours every day while some of the seniors are lucky enough to be cut an hour depending on the credits. Some freshmen would enjoy being able to leave school sooner than they can right now. It’s something most freshmen can look forward to.

Some freshmen may struggle with figuring out what they want to major in or do after college finishes, they may feel nervous when senior year comes around. They have new challenges to face and to overcome. These challenges can help them in the future to give and show freshmen what the real world is like, it prepares them for it. Some of the freshmen have people to stand by and support them through the upcoming year.
“I am mostly not nervous about being a senior because I know I have support from my friends and family to make it through the year, but a little nervous for what’s coming after because of the unknown aspect.” Freshmen Bianca Martin said.
Growth when becoming an upcoming senior is a great thing for the freshmen to look forward to. They get to understand the concepts of being an adult for the next 3 years before committing to it. This experience can help them better when becoming an adult after their high school years.
“I look forward to recognizing the growth in myself as a senior and being able to use the life experience I will have then to succeed as an adult and get a better job in the next few years.” Bianca said.
