In the second Trump Administration, Trump and his administration have very frequently fought against, dodged, or violated several blatant and obvious rules in the Constitution.
For example, he is using an overreach of power, doing things such as making tariffs without having the legal powers to do so, as recently ruled by the Supreme Court that declared broader tariffs unconstitutional.
Not only that, but blatant violations of the first amendment have been made, using ICE or the National Guard to aggressively dispel (ex. Using tear gas frequently against protests) or even kill protesters or bystanders (as seen with Renee Good and Alex Pretti), and in one case, arrest a journalist who was doing nothing but reporting on a protest against ICE in a church.
And throughout all of this, there has been nearly nothing done about any of these things except for the Supreme Court striking down (some) tariffs, and the general Supreme Court hasn’t tried to do anything about Trump’s other actions in the slightest.
If the justices in the Supreme Court really, truly cared about upholding the US constitution, they would step in and do something about these clear constitutional violations that are being made.
In addition, many conservatives in America such as Trump pride themselves on supposedly valuing the constitution (despite the contradictions between the constitutional rules and Trump’s actions), and if they really do, now is the time to show that they stand for the constitution in question.
There should be more people on every side of the political spectrum speaking out against this and showing that they won’t stand for violations of the constitution. And for the Supreme Court justices, now is the time to act and stop these clear unconstitutional actions being made. There’s no excuse to let any of these violations slide in the slightest.
